Heal the Blu, an NGO based in Malta, aims to utilize Nudibranchs as a model organism to study the effects of climate change, such as ocean acidification and inter-level trophic dynamics. Nudibranchs can serve as indicators of climate change due to their specific food sources and short lifespans.

The NGO plans to conduct research on the distribution and abundance of Nudibranchs in the Mediterranean, including identifying non-native species. By engaging in citizen science initiatives, Heal the Blu will collect data on Nudibranchs through standardized surveys and underwater photography.

The organization also plans to expand its research to explore feeding behaviors and genetic identification of Nudibranch species. Through merchandising and marketing efforts, Heal the Blu aims to raise awareness about the importance of Nudibranch conservation and promote citizen science participation.
